An ancient Grama Kshetra, located in Tirur Taluk on the bus route from Tirur to Purathur, at a distance of about 10 km. from Tirur. Extensive land of the temple (about 80 cents) houses both a Shiva and Vishnu shrine, the former being larger in structure. At the time of photographing the temple, parts of the temple complex like chuttambalam, the Vishnu shrine etc. were in ruins. These photographs were taken in the late nineties. The Shiva shrine has similarities with Thrprangodu Kalasamharamoorthy temple.
