This ancient temple in Paṭṭāmbi - Cherpulaśśeri route was in ruins when it was photographed in the mid nineties. The only intact portion of the old temple was the balipiṭha which had survived in all its splendour. Now the temple has been renovated and sports a new look. This is one of the eighteen taḷis of early medieval Kerala.
