A small but archaeologically important temple located in Thiruvananthapuram district datable to 14th century A.D. according to K V Soundara Rajan (Temple Architecture in Kerala published by Govt. of Kerala.)

The temple can be accessed by travelling about 3 km south from Vadaśśerikōnam junction in the Āṯṯingal - Kallambalam - Varkala route branching west at Kallambalam from the National Highway 66. Another bus route from Varkala to Āṯṯingal via Oṯṯiyur and Manambur also land one at Tirunārāyanapuram, enroute Vadaśśerikōnam.

The śrīkovil‍ and the namaskāra maṇḍapa are both in Drāvida style more prevalent in Tamil Nādu than in Kērala. The namaskāra maṇḍapa is specially noteworthy with diagonal composite pillars in the four corners with Pallava style vyāḻis. Pṛanāḷa, a very simple type, is without the usual pillar support. Vishnu is the main deity. Śiva, an upa-dēvata besides Vana Śāstha housed in a wooden trellis structure without roof and Nāga devatas are also installed closeby.
